Miley Cyrus 'Not Sorry' for This 10-Year-Old Vanity Fair Photo as She Retracts Apology

Miley Cyrus has retracted a decade-old apology, and added a "F-ck YOU" for good measure.

The pop star is not sorry for a nude Vanity Fair photo shoot she did in 2008, when she was just a 15-year-old Disney star best known for playing Hannah Montana. After facing backlash over the photo shot by renowned photographer Annie Lebotwitz, Cyrus apologized by saying that she was "embarrassed" by the image in which she covers her naked body with a sheet while exposing her back.

Apparently, that was just damage control, though.

In her statement in 2008, the "Wrecking Ball" singer called the photo "inappropriate".

"My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie [Leibovitz]. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Cyrus told People at the time.

"The pictures of me on the internet were silly, inappropriate shots," she continued. "I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone. Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life's journey."

Her fans have been supportive of her decision to speak up on the issue after all this time.
