Chrissy Teigen's single regret about her wedding to John Legend
Chrissy Teigen looked back at her wedding with John Legend, as well as the couple’s recent vow renewal. In the candid conversation, she also divulged her single regret.
Chrissy and John are a match made in heaven. The TV star tied the knot with the hitmaker 10 years ago – time flies, eh? For the special wedding anniversary, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend decided to renew their vows. This time, it was different. The celebrity couple returned to the same spot where they said ‘I do’ as a family of six. Recently, Chrissy spoke about the emotional day and her one regret.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s wedding – the first time
Chrissy and John got married in the picturesque Lake Como, based in Italy. They exchanged vows on September 14, 2013, at the gorgeous Villa Pizzo, with stunning views of the landscape in the background. On the big day itself, Stevie Wonder and the groom himself, treated guests to live music performances. You wouldn’t expect anything less.
Not only that, but Chrissy wore three bridal dresses on the day, designed by Vera Wang.
Casting your minds back to 2007, the pair met on the set of John’s music video Stereo. After four years, he got down on one knee and asked the all-important question during Christmas in the Maldives. The proposal took place on the beach, oozing romance and Disney fairytales.
The wedding took place at the popular hotspot for a lot of Hollywood stars. George Clooney and his wife Amal also chose that location. They know luxury real estate to a tee.

Saying ‘I do’ – again
Why have just one wedding with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend when you can have two? The duo decided to renew their vows this year, marking the 10th anniversary of the special day.
They flew back to Lake Como with their four children, Luna, Miles, Esti and Wren. They welcomed little Wren (three months old) five months after Esti Maxine was born. Wren was born via surrogate after the couple shared they suffered a miscarriage in 2020.
The momentous occasion even chocked up John.
Chrissy told E! Online: “I looked over at him, and he was like, his eyes were like, filled with water.
“It was amazing. It was so beautiful.”
But there was something they wanted to change for the big day (again).

Chrissy explained, when it came down to their vows, her nerves got the best of her. This time around, they decided to say something new, and not to recite the same ones as the first occasion.
“We were like, well, we’re gonna rewrite them and say them because I have a big hang-up that I didn’t write my own vows [at our wedding], because I was so nervous and just insecure and stuff so I didn’t,” she said.
“So that’s been like a big regret of mine. So if anything it was a chance to redo it and be with people we love, and it worked.”
And, kids being kids, they apparently were “still disgusted” by the couple. They wanted to plug their ears.
