West Jones Lady Mustang soccer standout Carly Mauldin recently signed a letter of intent to play for the Miss. State Lady Bulldogs. Mauldin has completed graduation requirements at WJHS and will begin her college career in Starkville this month.

Mauldin began playing soccer at age 3 with both local and select teams. Starting on the varsity team at West Jones since the eighth grade, Mauldin played for former coaches Aaron Avila and Craig Winship. She finished her high school career playing for coach Josh Sullivan and has 74 career goals and 44 assists for the Lady Mustangs. Mauldin has also played many years with the Gulf Coast United Futbol Club ʻ97, which is coached by Shane Kowalski.
